The Book that teaches you madness - "Veronika Decides To Die".

"Nothing in this world happens by chance".

This Statement was so true in my case, i remember when i was feeling so low, it was just a year before, I was having everything  and in the next moment my hands were all empty. It was one of the worst month of my life and i was dealing with so many things.
So, i was in my accountancy class and it was a break time & i was reading "The Alchemist" by Paulo Coehlo. My friend said very nice book & i was like yes its good & i am reading "The Alchemist" third time & it leads to a discussion between us. So, she told me about "Veronika Decides To Die" & I was like I have heard about this book but never read it. I am totally a book monster & then on Sunday i bought it.

Then, It was all new me after reading that book. Guys, if you are feeling any low in your life then just go purchase this book & please read it. It is the one of the best book i have read it till now. "Veronika Decides to Die" changed me completely.

It is the story of a young & beautiful woman from Slovenia who is having perfect life, but decides to die by overdosing of sleeping pills. When Veronika decides to die, she was suddenly provoked by magazine article which asks " Where is Slovenia?", & she writes a letter to the press justifying her suicide & to make the people believe that she has killed herself because people don't know where Slovenia is, instead of her parents. Her Plan fails & she wakes up in Villete, a mental hospital where the doctor told her she has only few days left because of the overdose caused by sleeping pills. Her presence there affects all of the mental hospital's patients, especially Zedka who has depression, Mari who suffers from panic attacks & the boy with whom Veronika Falls in love with Eduard, who has schizophrenia. During her stay in the hospital she realizes that she has few days left & she has nothing to lose and can therefore do whats she wants and be who what she wants without worrying about anyone else & what they think. Because of this new freedom she allowed herself to experience anything which she has never allowed herself which includes love & hatred.

Under the night of the new moon she returns to her first love, music & as Eduard watches, find herself playing in ways she never had before. She also, in response to her attraction & Mary's advice tries what had been forbidden, masturbates. All this, in spite of painful heart attacks and desire to try even more experiences and eventually she desires to live as fully as she can in the time remaining.
Meanwhile, the story also explores the past & present of fellow patients of Veronika.

Eventually, her fellow inmates leave the confines of Villete for various reasons & in various ways and Eduard is accompanied with Veronika who is determined to live what she believes to be what life she has left to the fullest.

At the end, writer reveals that for purpose of his own Dr.Igor has manipulated Veronika into believing she is about to die, when in fact she is going to live.
The story ends with Veronika and Eduard celebrating their freedom & with Dr. Igor celebrating the success of his experiment.

So, the book offers a story of hope, joy, freedom, integrity, madness, insanity and life all under the challenging circumstances of life. The book explores the importance of genuine life.

The story gives the message that "collective madness is sanity".

Thank you Paulo Coehlo for this gift and let me tell you one thing this book has totally changed my life and the way i was living my life,

After reading your book i decided to live my life and you know i was all in love with your stories.

I remember your words, " Be crazy! But learn how to be crazy without being the center of attention. Be brave enough to live diffrerent".

"If only everyone could know and live with their inner craziness.Would the world be as worse place for it? No,people would be fairer & happier."

I have list of all my Favourite lines in my diary. I just love your book & it changed me completely.

Inspiration from "Buddha"

Siddhartha was born in Northern Central India, in 567 B.C. He was born into the Kshatriya Caste. His Birth was preceded by a series of vision seen by his mother and prophecies made to his father. The Prophecies made to his father that he wouldn't be a Maharaj but a religious leader. Many people know his story, if you don't know then let me introduce you. When he was born his father shielded his from the realities of the world. Something unusual happened at his birth was when a elephant , which touched his mother's side with a lotus, impregnated her. He grew up in Luxury and married to princess yashodhara , daughter of neighboring Maharaj. They had a son & they named him Rahulah. His father securely protected him from the anything unpleasant in the world. Siddhartha began trips to a nearby city & for the first time he saw the reality of life. Three things Siddhartha and that disturbed him was an old lady bent over with age , a man whose body was ...

The Self help Book - The Power of Positive Thinking

I completed my first book for 2018, yeah, just like last year I decided to read more and more books. I know m going slow but yeah atleast m keeping my new year resolution. So guys, in case if you are thinking that everyone says about reading and I know after so many hype on social media, you must be thinking that reading is overrated just like sridevi's death. Okay, so no offence, i also felt bad after hearing about her sudden death, i have grown up with her movies and her morni baga ma bole was my favourite but seriously Indian media sucks and above all of it, giving her honour just like a soldier is the only reason we as Indians are lacking. Her death was unfortunate but we don't care about soldiers and other syrian people because we are so much sad over her sudden death. So, coming back to the original topic of overrated reading but guys on a serious note reading is not overrated . I love reading and especially motivating books like " The Power of Positive Th...
